Spring Village Development Foundation SVDF (U.K. Chapter)
The Spring Village Development Foundation U.K. Chapter (SVDF UK Chapter) is a Registered Voluntary Charity which was founded in London in April 2004 as part of a wider collaborative networking of community linked projects established in the U.S.A, Canada and Jamaica. We pledged to support and assist with the progress and development of the Spring Village Community by way of providing help towards the health and well-being of the people of the community, thus seeing the UK Chapter as a non-profit Voluntary Organization with a charitable status.
The SVDF UK Chapter has consistently evaluated the success of the community projects in terms of impact by defining the local conditions that the donations are intended to improve. We believe it is necessary to be able to demonstrate measurable outcomes, in order to justify further donations for sustainability of projects.
Preparations for the Spring Village Homecoming Reunion 2013 are underway to celebrate the opening and dedication of a clinic in the Spring Village Community.
We encourage all SVDF Chapters worldwide, to invite the Jamaican High Commission and other Diplomatic Representatives at home and abroad to participate in our events as Guests of Honour in their official capacities.
SVDF is the 2010 recipient of the Michael Manley Foundation Award for Community self-reliance.
