Agricultural Tuition Assistance Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to help foster educational
advancement in the field of agricultural technology. It is issued annually, and
is a partial scholarship which provides books and/or tuition supplement for one
(1) student who has applied and has been accepted to an Agricultural
institution such as CASE or other recognized institution in the field of
agriculture.
The recipient will receive an award of $250US. To qualify,
the applicant will be required to fulfill the following:
1.
Write
an essay consisting of the applicant’s goals and aspirations in the field
of Agriculture.
2.
The
essay should also address the following:
a.
Who
was Henry Nelson and what major agricultural crop did he cultivate?
b.
Where
were these crops cultivated and what technology did he
use to prepare his harvest for market?
3.
Applicants
should submit their essay at least three months before the new school term to
allow for adequate processing. After the application is recieved,
the student has sixty days to provide evidence that they have been accepted and
enrolled in the desired institution.
4.
The
first payment of $150US will be made at enrolment to the institution for help
with book purchases etc. The final payment of $100US will be made after student
submits a passing grade of “C” or better at the end of the course.
